Internet marketing, also referred to as i-marketing, web-marketing, online-marketing or email marketing is the marketing services of the products over the Internet.

Internet Marketing Services

The Internet has brought media to a global audience. The interactive nature of Internet marketing in terms of providing instant responses and eliciting responses are the unique qualities of the medium. Internet marketing and internet marketing seo services is sometimes considered to be broad in scope because it not only refers to marketing on the Internet, but also includes marketing done via e-mail and wireless media. Management of digital customer data and electronic customer relationship management (ECRM) systems are also often grouped together under internet marketing.

E-mail marketing Services

E-mail marketing is a form of direct marketing which uses electronic mail as a means of communicating commercial or fund-raising messages to an audience.

In its broadest sense, every e-mail sent to a potential or current customer could be considered e-mail marketing. However, the term is usually used to refer to:

* sending e-mails with the purpose of enhancing the relationship of a merchant with its current or previous customers, to encourage customer loyalty and repeat business,
* sending e-mails with the purpose of acquiring new customers or convincing current customers to purchase something immediately,
* adding advertisements to e-mails sent by other companies to their customers, and
* sending e-mails over the Internet, as e-mail did and does exist outside the Internet (e.g., network e-mail and FIDO).

Affiliate marketing Services

Affiliate marketing is a marketing practice in which a business rewards one or more affiliates for each visitor or customer brought about by the affiliate’s marketing efforts.

Examples include rewards sites, where users are rewarded with cash or gifts, for the completion of an offer, and the referral of others to the site. The industry has four core players: the merchant (also known as ‘retailer’ or ‘brand’), the network, the publisher (also known as ‘the affiliate’), and the customer. The market has grown in complexity to warrant a secondary tier of players, including affiliate management agencies, super-affiliates and specialized third parties vendors.

We engage in internet marketing and computer network maintenance when we use the power of the internet to directly or indirectly market our products, services or manage our brand. Internet marketing is one part advertisement and marketing creativity, one part design creativity and one part technical expertise. Internet marketing therefore is an amalgamation of many different stages of the customer engagement cycle. Such stages include banner ads on websites frequented by target customers, email marketing campaigns, search engine optimization (SEO), search engine marketing (SEM), affiliate marketing and implementation of Web 2.0 technologies on the corporate website.

Is this a Do-it-yourself kind of thing?
Siobhan Reynolds who runs a high-end hair salon at the corner of Gillham Rd, Kansas City, set up a website to enable his customer to book appointments online. He also wanted his website to sell certain custom hair dyes and anti-hair loss formulations.

While researching the net he came across a one-page site that promised “top positioning” and all other bells and whistles that went with it if he purchased an easy-to-follow book and audio on sale for “just $ 99”. What followed was three months of frustration, and to add to his injury, his website was removed from Google.com search engine results.

So to answer the question on whether you could market your website yourself – Absolutely not! Internet marketing takes a lot of knowledge, skill and experience.

Here are a few hard hitting facts about internet marketing:

• E-marketing is not equal to direct sales. E-marketing follows a totally different strategy.
• Your marketing plan cannot be converted into e-marketing plan.
• Successful marketing includes four components:
1. A marketing strategy
2. A marketing plan
3. A separate e-Marketing plan
4. Brand advocacy strategy

If you have been on the internet a while, researching either how to make money online or how to promote your business online, then you have probable heard of internet marketing links and their value. Links increase the value of your site in the eyes of the search engines and also help to drive traffic. However, not all links are created equal and some have more effect than others.

Internet marketing links affect the page rank of your site and different types of links have different effects. For example, inbound links from other sites increase the relevancy of your site in the eyes of the search engines, while internal links allow search engine crawlers to find other pages of your site.

The greatest value to your own website lies in inbound links and there are several ways you can get these internet marketing links.

1. Request links. This is one of the most straight forward ways to get a link but it can also be one of the most difficult. Essentially, you have to contact other website owners requesting a link back to your site. Remember, though, that the relevance of the site linking to yours is important. The higher the relevance in terms of similarity in topic, the more value the link has. The less relevant the website is to your niche the lower the power of the link, but it is still more valuable than not having any links at all.

2. Writing articles. This is probably the most popular method of gaining internet marketing links and involves writing content on the same or similar topics to what your site is about. This is then posted to article directories and relevant websites in the form of guest posts. This is a valuable strategy because not only does it provide links but can also drive traffic if the content is useful and people want to discover more about that website.

3. Press releases are a great way to gain exposure, both for linking purposes as well driving traffic. The advantage to press releases is that they have a good chance of getting picked up by various publications, both online and offline, which increases exposure exponentially. And it’s all free.

4. PPC and paid links. Another method of obtaining links is via pay per click advertising campaigns or paid links. Pay per click campaigns usually involve bidding for a certain keyword with the major search engines and paying only when someone clicks on your link to access your site. Paid links can also come from other websites and blogs.

5. Affiliate programs are another great way to increase page rank through internet marketing links, as well as a great source of traffic and sales. Essentially, an affiliate program means that, for a percentage of a sale, people will promote your product or website on their own sites. This is an excellent way to increase your sales and exposure.

These are a few of the methods that you can use to obtain good, relevant internet marketing links that will help increase your page rank and thus your position in the search engines.
